No power on earth can take away this bond from Kashmiris!We are proud of our Kashmiri students outside state for their bravery, who despite hostilities dare to express their sentiments, thus send a message across that India has occupied our land illegally.!President Doctors Association of Kashmir, Dr Nisar ul Hassan today in a statement issued to Kashmir Headlines said that it is shocking that 150 Kashmiri students have been expelled by Swami Vivekananad Subharti University (SVSU) in Meerut, UP for expressing their emotions at the end of India-Pakistan Cricket match on sunday, adding, these students were celebrating the victory of Pakistan, when non-Kashmiri students harrassed and threatened them and later were forced to leave the university campus. Vice-chancellor of the said University, Dr. Manzoor wants Kashmiri students to apologise. Kashmiris will apologise for what? For venting their emotions , which is their fundamental right . Sentiments are natural and they cannot be doctored. he added. He further said: In another shameful incident, post match, nearly two dozen Kashmiri BDS students, mostly girls, from Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital (DBDCH) in Mukhtasar, Punjab were threatened and harrased by local students after Indian loss. They are under constant fear and we are worried about their safety. Director DBDCH remark that Kashmiri students must understand that they are not in Kashmir, but in India, is highly objectionable. Expulsion of kashmiri students speaks vendetta and reflects colonial mindset. Dr. Nisar while lashing at State government said that J&K State government has failed to ensure the safety of Kashmiri students. These incidents of harrasement of Kashmiris outside state have become a norm. Kashmiris have a fear psychosis in pursuing higher studies outside state. BJP member, Ashok Khajurias comment on the floor of assembly that Kashmiris outside state are involved in anti-state activities is un-acceptable. BJP member must know that his state is involved in terrorism by arresting and killing our youth. We are proud of our Kashmiri students outside state for their bravery, who despite hostilities dare to express their sentiments, thus send a message across that India has occupied our land illegally. Indians must stop harrasing our youth outside Kashmir, or else they will have to face dire consequences, the statement added.
