Disappointed with the FAST EFI and knowing power was untapped, - TopicsExpress

Disappointed with the FAST EFI and knowing power was untapped, Jesse Riggle was called upon to correct it. In February 2014, the FAST was removed and a GM PCM and PSI conversions harness was installed. The harness was ordered for a T56 as I would keep the auto for another year and do a T56 in the El Camino first. The TCI TCU was to continue to run the auto. The harness was pretty much plug and play except we added an LS7 MAF. Jesse then did a base tune to get the Monte so it would start and be drivable. A future trip to West Bend Dyno Tuning was planned. Meanwhile the USCA, Ultimate Street Car Association, was getting set for its inaugural season and Daytona was on the list for Memorial Day weekend, during my busiest part of the year, but a chance to run Daytona was one of those dreams you knew would never come true. Until now! I checked daily for registration to open, they limit the number of cars, to be sure I got in the field. Turns out I was number 1. Once registered it was time to get some attention. Schwartz Performance was contact about a plan as well as Sharpline Auto Trim in Cedar Falls, Ia. My idea, I hoped, should attract the TV cameras. Every event is filmed and aired on MavTv, The plan worked long before the trip to Florida. The installation of the Earnhardt Wrangler wrap was filmed for the new series, Search for the Ultimate Street Car and aired on the very first show. New computer, new look, now it was time to find the new power. There are more changes on the horizon.
