Disappointing first regular season game back from Derrick Rose - TopicsExpress

Disappointing first regular season game back from Derrick Rose tonight... as the Miami Heat defeated the Chicago Bulls 107-95. Rose finished 4-15 from the field (1-7 3 Pt) Scoring 12 points. Instead of playing within the system and setting up he teammates effectively, Rose forced the issue far too many times, delivering only 4 assists while turning the ball over 5 times with 0 steals, no blocked shots and only 1 rebound. The foul disparity through the first 2 1/2 quarters was huge, as Miami enjoyed a 19-9 foul advantage over Chicago with the game all but of of reach (the Bulls were down by 19 points at the time) midway through the 3rd quarter. Fortunately (with Rose sitting on the bench), the rest of the Bulls squad generated a nice little comeback in the 4th quarter to make the final score a little more respectable. I am confident that Derrick Rose will be fine once he gets his game legs under him and timing with his teammates more in synch. Hopefully, it wont take too long for that to happen. The game was far more one-sided than the final score reflected. At least the Blackhawks had a nice comeback victory against Ottawa after Khabibulin staked the Senators to 4-2 lead midway through the 2nd period. Corey Crawford (who was supposed to get the night off after leading the Hawks to a solid 5-1 win over Minnesota the night before) came in and made some miraculous saves holding Ottawa to just 1 goal on 15 shot attempts. Jonathon Toews notched a hat trick (scoring 3 goals in a row) and an assist during this impressive comeback win. Hawks backup Goaltender, Nikolai Khabibulin has yielded 10 goals over the last game and a half. That clearly isnt good enough.
