Disappointing game today but not the end of the world as still in a good position and if arsenal are going to be pushin for title or top four then a loss away from home is a fairly acceptable result just have to get home results against your rivals really. However I did find myself throughout the game questions gerrard. Over the first ten games I have generally been doing the same in a lot of matches and really cant see what he is offering to the team. Clearly he offers leadership and is a talisman and legend and inspirational captain however in terms of play I just dont think he is doing it. He isnt breaking up the play, he doesnt have the energy and pace to get at people, he isnt playing any fantastic long balls to set up attacks, no through balls really and doesnt get forward to support the attack. Just feel he is doing nothing particularly productive, isnt energetic like Henderson or defensive like Lucas or creative like coutinho or even Allen in pre season was doing what gerrard is doing now but supported attacks better Any thoughts?
