I have been waiting on someone to put flesh on the claim that todays movement reflects a generational shift. As might be expected, Tef Poe has some of his history wrong, but his clear position is that the movement this time is driven by Hip Hop. I do not know what that substantively means yet--I get the difference in style and tone already--but there is time. As a generational tweener, I want to see something new and more effective than either the civil rights movement or the black power movement. Godspeed.
