Day 5: Ring that triangle it’s time for DINNER!! The - TopicsExpress

Day 5: Ring that triangle it’s time for DINNER!! The topic of dinner is also when I like to talk about PORTION CONTROL. When you go out to eat the portion size is usually enough for two meals and sometimes THREE! *Little tip for going out to eat: HALF your meal and BOX the rest the minute you get it. This will help you avoid overeating and hopefully it’ll be outta sight outta mind.* Luckily, when you are home you can control exactly what goes into your meals and how much food you have. When you’re cooking dinner avoid seasonings and marinades with a TON of sodium. I use Mrs. Dash, powders not salts, and vinegars instead of thick syrup like marinades. If you love soy sauce, try Braggs Liquid Aminos instead. They still have more sodium than I prefer, but youre putting other healthy things in your body at the same time. Another tip for dinner. Serve dinner on your SALAD PLATES. I know the other ones are called “dinner plates” BUT they are HUGE. It is much easier to practice portion control if you don’t have a ton of open space on your plate. The two pictures posted are to help out with this. I know measuring is not fun so using the hand measuring method is usually ok. Take a look at your plate before you eat…does it look similar to the one in the picture? If not, FIX it! ;) Also, take a look at this video for a YUMMY dinner option! https://youtube/watch?v=oPL0n-2AMi4 *Snap of pic of YOUR DINNER and post below!* ow.ly/i/7alG1 ow.ly/i/7alHj
