Disciples and stewards of God: The danger for every Christian disciple is the belief that once we’ve achieved the present spiritual objective that the Lord God has set before us, we can kick back and just chill. We especially believe this to be the case if the recent assigned task of discipleship was arduous and consuming. Such assumption couldn’t be further from the truth!! This week, our Heavenly Father reveals to us that when it comes to Christian discipleship, it’s always: ON TO THE NEXT!! We never truly reach the true epitome of discipleship during our lifetimes because there’s always some issue…some need…some form of assistance…that someone is expecting God to resolve. And our Lord, in turn, expects to use us to resolve whatever that thing is that hinders and harms His creation and His children. This means that there will always be something for us to do as the Lord God’s 21st century Christian disciples.
