DisciplesNet Worship #219, The Unscripted Journey (Propes 11.09.2014) Where were you four years ago and what what were you doing? In our worship today, DisciplesNet asks those same questions of ourselves as we approach the fourth anniversary of our first worship, DisciplesNet Worship #1, released on November 14, 2010. That day Dean Phelps opened worship in songs, This Little Light of Mine, and If You Come Up Empty. That day our preacher was Richard Propes, as he is today, reflecting on his journey over the years, and inviting you to think of your journey too, and how so much is an unscripted journey that comes from following Christ. We also will be singing Never Alone, an old hymn sung by our DisciplesNet singers, a volunteer choir led by Audrey Borschel to sing music to share with our DisciplesNet congregation. This particular song has been our most popular this year, listened to by people in over 120 countries, bringing assurance of Gods presence with us, no matter what. We hope that you will join us for this worship and that it will bring great meaning to you as you continue on your unscripted journey. DisciplesNet church works to bring the church to people not able to attend a physical church, as well as those who benefit by connecting online 24/7 with the special faith resources we create. We work to bring the Good News of Gods redeeming love to the world. At our fourth anniversary, DisciplesNet continues to seek Gods guidance as our unique ministry keeps growing. As we prayerfully work to reach people online around the world, we also prayerfully seek to be the best stewards possible of the resources that people are sharing in Gods work through DisciplesNet Church. We invite you to join in giving through DisciplesNet --or another ministry of your choosing-- as you consider your own place and circumstances, and how God calls you to share your own gifts. As we do every week, our time together includes a time of communion (breaking of the bread) where you may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus invitation to do this in remembrance of me. If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond all earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink, such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers are given to extend to where you are If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.
