On 19th December 1914, Lady Dorothie Feilding wrote Mother Darling Thank you so much for the packet of mixed comforts. They are a joy. Also my lovely boots and flea bag. Later- just got a line from you & am sending this over to England. The chloroform and the £16 sent I will see about- is that bought out of the residue of the subscription money or out of Mr Heaths money? He is too kind. If the latter is not spent will you send it to McConnell at 61 Chancery Lane to be put on Munros fund account. Munro will then dole me out that amount of money for use in the Pervyse Camp. We can then just get things as we want them for the blesses & the soldiers if that meets with his approval. That way we can order things in driblets as they are wanted. For Gods sake stop Evy sending out Ramsay MacDonald. It would be an awful mistake as he would rub up all the authorities. Our Munro will be writing him about it. I am very well and happy. I havent yet got the 2nd hypodermic syringe from Harrods or the Horlicks milk or Imeldas new mackintosh. They got very delayed. This is a dull letter but am writing in such a hurry. Forgive no news. You mustnt blame Margie too much poor kiddy- shes only human & from their point of view as each mean to wait indefinitely for the other, it would be terribly hard if they couldnt even see each other dont you think? I dont think it can do much harm if they do. Somehow the war changes everything & its their lookout if they dont mind a long wait. Goodbye Darling. Thank you so much for all your dear letters and parcels- you do spoil me. But Im jolly glad you do so dont stop will you? Im sorry your Rollos pictures arent better, Yes DoDo
