Discontent? (Stuck study /Jennie Allen) Romans 12:9-21 will be our key passage for our study this week, along with others... Have you read Ecclesiastes lately? Solomon had everything that could be had on this earth at the time he was alive, and yet... (Ecc 4:4) We too chase after the wind. When we were knit together, God spent some time knitting parts of us to need Him. We were created to matter, to be known and seen, and once seen, to be loved no matter what. These desires are innate; God created these spaces in us. He wanted us to need Him. Its a funny thought, really. Here is the God of the universe, creating spaces in little people. Desiring for us to need Him...want Him...love Him. But we dont want Him. Rather than chasing after a God who created all things, we chase the wind. I believe we miss the freedom God promises because we do not live as if His words (the Word) need to be applied to our lives. We already do matter, and we are already seen. The God of the universe adores us, sees us, makes the way for us, calls us, loves us, and wants to give us a story within His beautiful story. I am excited to meet with you all this Friday and open Gods word together, and share the journey toward more freedom, through His truth. Kris
