Discovery Channel asked how youd Made Your World Bigger’, by launching a competition that challenged the nation to upload a picture and short story to win the opportunity of a lifetime - A Gold Rush adventure in Alaska. One of the BMMC Midlands new marshals, Gary Jones, has entered, including this image from Donington Park, taken during the British Touring Car Championship in April. Gary is an amputee who lost his arm in 1989 following a serious motorcycle accident while racing on public roads. Gary has since been re-educated about the seriousness of his actions and joined the BMMC after attending a Taster Day with one of his friends. The competition has passed the initial judging panel and Gary’s made it to the finals. It’s now all down to a public vote, so please show your support for him here: mywbcompetition/gal.aspx?og=8 and turn his dream into a reality. The competition closes on 13th July 2014 at 23:59.
