Discussion Topic Photographers who contact their competitions clients and offer to undersell their current photographer. Im seeing this talked about on both photographers and also clients statuses. What are we thinking about this? The idea some are going with is that its shady business, contacting clients of direct competition and offering them prices lower than what theyre already paying. Others are saying its just business, and that everyone does it, so it shouldnt be made a big deal. My personal feelings on this are in the six years Ive been shooting professionally I have never once felt the need to directly contact a competitions clients to undersell them. I would never even think to do that, mainly because its rude. Again, thats my personal feelings. Thoughts?
