Disgusting! Victimising the minorities in the name of religion is actual blasphemy. The implementation of article 295-C has many loopholes and it has been proven several times that it has been used to settle scores or victimise the minorities. That is exactly what Late Salman Taseer was fighting for. The day we actually decide to stop this oppression in the name of religion, the whole argument will be exposed. Its easy! All we need is the will. Just like we did in case of Hudood Ordinances. The team working on the Zara Sochiye campaign easily exposed the loop holes and in turn forced the top clerics of the country to speak out against the ordinances. Although we couldnt get the ordinances repealed but the Womens Protection Bill still was a a big achievement. Non of the top Ulema were able to handle our approach as we were simply speaking the truth. They were forced to admit flaws in the laws.... something they had been defending for 26 years. Being the proud director of that campaign i know that changing the blasphemy law just needs political courage and resolve. I am sure the other team members of the team would agree Aliya Salahuddin, Tasawur Ul Karim Baig, Arfeen Mehdi.
