Distict 2484 Governor Kostas Karvounis, accompanied by the President of the R.C. of Kerkyra George Bouzas and members of the board of the Club had the privilege to meet His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople during his 3 days visit in Corfu on the occasion of the celebrations for the name day of Corfu’s patron Saint Spyridon. His Holiness the Patriarch expressed his appreciation for the humanitarian service of rotarians all over the world and asked rotarians to continue supporting the Church’s efforts to comfort people in need, as they keep on doing for so many decades. President George Bouzas offered H.H. the Gold Medal of the R.C. of Corfu and the Patriarch sent his blessing to our fellow rotarians.
