District 1 Metro Councilman TRAE WELCH and District 2 Metro Councilwoman CHAUNA BANKS-DANIEL will hold an informational meeting regarding Louisiana Land Acquisitions, L.L.C application to obtain a permit for a Type I Landfill allowing for the disposal of industrial solid waste. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 15, 2013 at 6:00 p.m., Mount Bethel Baptist Church, 13530 Scenic Highway, Baton Rouge. The proposed site at the Brooklawn Disposal Facility is located on the north side of Brooklawn Drive, approximately 2 miles West of Scenic Highway. Representatives from Louisiana Land Acquisition, LLC and the Department of Environmental Quality have been invited to provide information on the project.
