I wanted to tell you a little about Brian Cordova Jr. He was born March 5, 2002. He was born healthy.Then when he was 5 days old he got a really high fever and he didnt want to eat. we where still in the hospital because i had a very complicated c-section. The Dr. called me to the Nicu. And after some testing they told me he had Necrotizingenercolites which is when the intestines starts to perferate and die.They told me he probably wouldnt make it. They said even if he lives off that amount of intestines his quality of life would be poor. Brian Cordova Sr. told them to do everything they could to save are son . When they went in for surgery after a few hours into the surgery the Dr came out and said he probably has 28 cm of small and 40% of large and no eliseco valve, So for the next 4 months it was surgerys and procedures. One milestone at a time. they told us he would be in the Hospital for the first year of his life if he lived. So we lived at hospital. We would take turns staying with him.Then i started Email Drs every where. Finally a Dr in pittsburgh called me. We made arrangements for an Air ambulance to take him to pittsburgh. There they trained me how to work machines do dressing changes, all his36 medicines, tube feeds Ivy Nutrition. So when we flew back home he got to come home. We where so happy and scared. So over the next twelve years he has had 32 Surgerys and procedures and has always done great. They have tried so many medicines,and surgerys. He does not absorb any nutrition. Are next step is this study/transplant this is why I am pleading for everyone TO help and support . Please people my son is my life.
