Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear your to pieces. Matt 7:6 This passage is written in the context of how we ought to judge others(and yes we must judge). If you confront someone about an issue, and they are humble about or broken if it is a sin, then you can offer them the way of righteousness and wisdom and truth(your pearls) regarding the matter. But if a person is offended, hostile, arrogant and angry when confronted, Do not offer your "pearls" to them. Such individuals need a sharp rebuke for their error, and a stern warning of the dangers that await them if continue on their path. For God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble! James 4:6
