Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. - Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953 For a distinguished film-maker who have made a industry-bending cinematic trilogy of a pop culture icon who just celebrated his 75th birthday, it is nothing short of amazing that British film-maker Christopher Nolan has never attended a single Comic-Con. Until this year. Both Nolan and Matthew McConaughey, lead actor of Nolans upcoming sci-fi drama, Interstellar (and incidentally, our favorite actor of the year here in The Daily Zombies for his astounding performances in HBOs True Detective), made an unexpected appearance at Paramount Picturess panel at Hall H to standing ovation. Apart from revealing a little more plot for the much-anticipated film featuring a stellar ensemble cast with the likes of Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, David Oyelowo, Ellen Burstyn and Michael Caine, a new trailer was screened to the delights of the attendees. For those who are not at the panel, fret not as the ever-friendly Warner Bros. Pictures has released the trailer, which was earlier only available online via the films official website if you happened to know the access code (7201969, the date Apollo 11 landed on the Moon). While continuing to capture the moving story of family man Cooper (played by McConaughey) who are torn at leaving his family for a desperate quest to save the world, the new trailer opens up the stunning spectacle of space with some breathtaking composition. Like what Michael Caine is citing in the voiceover, “Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night” without checking the trailer out right below. thedailyzombies/2014/07/interstellar-new-trailer.html
