Do not have good WiFi, am in Katawanga, BC with 3 maybe 4 days out to WA and am tired of the long drives and Cleo is doing okay for now but have to get her to a vet that can diagnose her condition. She is getting worse on her breathing and the weather yesterday and today has been unseasonably warm and we have to stop the coach and use the roof air to cool it down and then go on again as I do not want to run with the compressor on, not safe. It is as beautiful going back the same way as going up but it took two weeks going up and am only on the 5th night and hoping to not go longer than 3 more. Today was a 303 mile day 8 hours, with cool down coach stops and not easy but the road was better for frost heaves and potholes. The past three days were incredibly frustrating with frost heaves, gravel construction and wash-boarding along with pot holes and narrow roads with no lines and the most incredibly country and fire weed just starting to fill in along the sides of the road and in areas where there was a recent forest fire the ground looks like a carpet of purple, red, rose with snags sticking up everywhere, it is incredibly breathtaking, especially along with all the other wildflowers that are springing up everywhere.. Will post a couple of pictures of it if this WiFi will not kick me off. Have been out of WiFi for all practical purposes. Tired tonight over 100 miles more than I even want to drive but the campground we stayed at was full so had to go the extra 100, very sparse accommodations in Yukon and Northern BC. Saddest part of the day was coming upon a baby bear that had been hit by a vehicle and killed, not too long before we passed it. So sad, it must have been crossing with its mother on a blind corner. As wonderful hosts as they are, it can be said that the Canadians drive way too fast for the roads and the amount of road kill is usually rodents and birds but there are major moose and elk and caribou and bears that do not survive these narrow and dangerous highways.
