Do these secularist bullies really consider it a victory for freedom and the American way when religious war memorials are torn down and destroyed? Do they really think this is what the Founders had in mind when they wrote the First Amendment? That amendment, by the way, ensures us that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion. It does not, however, say that individual communities cant have religious symbols on public land. Do you know how I know it doesnt say that? Because I can read. And so I read it. And it doesnt say that. A cross in North Carolina does not constitute a law passed by Congress forcing everyone to be Christian. It just doesnt. Do atheists understand that? Is this really so hard to comprehend? By the way, do you know why Christian symbols are so often used in memorials? Its not just for religious reasons. Its because the images are beautiful and the symbolism profound. Whether youre Christian or not, the Cross still represents sacrifice, devotion, and love. It means something. It expresses something. Thats why people find great comfort in them, even if they arent in the Faith. Seriously, this kind of nonsense just infuriates me every time it happens. Mainly because the reasoning is always so unbelievably stupid and superficial. I hate stupidity and superficiality.
