Do you ever have that sinking feeling? You know...like youre standing in quicksand, and, if something doesnt happen...change...or someone doesnt come along and pull you out, youre in trouble. It could be in your marriage or other relationships. It could be financially, emotionally, vocationally, physically, or spiritually. It could be slowly or quickly. But, you know youre sinking. If so, you cant wait until something happens or someone shows up to rescue you. You have to create the something. You have to be the someone to take action. First...realize...if youre sinking...it means that youve stepped off of the only sure and solid foundation for life...Gods Word. You need to turn to it...hear it...and live it. Matthew 7:24-25 - Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. Second...realize...if youre sinking...there is only One who can actually pull you out and get you to a safe, secure, and stable place...God/Jesus. You need to start calling out to Him. Psalm 61:2 - I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. We all step in the wrong direction and find ourselves sinking at times. The good news is that we dont have to sink all the way. Gods given us a way out. We just have to be wise enough to take it. Are you?
