Do you ever see the same thing in front of your face every time - TopicsExpress

Do you ever see the same thing in front of your face every time you turn around? Im not talking about your spouse or your children or that delicious Mocha ice cream in your freezer... rather a thought, a phrase, a verse. Jeremiah 29:11 seems to be my thing all week...to no avail. As the good Awana/SS girl I have this verse memorized, so each time the Lord brought it before my face, I would quote it, curtsy and continue on my way. Then 5:30 this morning comes along and sleep leaves me. And there it is...again. Jeremiah 29. Light-bulb. Maybe .... I should Read it...from the Bible. Ah. I felt like Linda and Tarah winning our Dating questions last night. :) I read it. Yup, just like I quoted. But... my answer is not settled. So I read it. Again. Hm. Lets start from the beginning. So I read verse 1. Jerusalem is led into captivity. Nebuchadnezzar is a bad king. Jeremiah is the prophet God called to tell His message to the people. Got it. I read some more. Build houses. Plant gardens. Get married. Have children. Increase your people. Seek peace from the city. Seek peace ... of the city?? Wait what? There it is. Even now I sit quiet. Contemplative. As if the light-bulb is above my head, but not exactly...bright...just kinda the bulb. Seek peace...of the city... whither I have caused you to be carried away... And...pray unto the Lord for it for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace. -Jer. 29:7 In the midst of my city (where I am) I need to seek peace of the city (where I am)... for in this peace (of where I am) I will find peace. (His peace!) See what I mean? Dim-bulb. My solution... Seek peace. How? The only way I know... jaclynpalmer/2013/09/27/a-call-to-fast/
