The signs and symptoms patients generally report include, but are not limited to: a) experiencing pain and discomfort around the hip, b) pain while walking, sitting, standing or even lying down, c) difficulty using the hip to walk, stand, bend or step, d) swelling and tenderness in and around the hip, e) decreased mobility and movement in and around the hip, f) bulged on prominent lump in and around the hip area that would indicate a dislocation. The signs and symptoms are not necessarily indicative of a hip implant failure, but should be reported to a doctor or medical professional immediately as there is a potential of the hip implant loosening. When the implant becomes loose, it can damage the bones and tissues surrounding it and should be taken very seriously.
