Yesterday I was taking my beagle zelda for a walk when in the distance I see a big full grown pittbull coming our way with the owner calling for it to come back. The pittbull got closer to us and the owner was saying dont worry it wont bite Now in its sights the pittbull took off running towards us fast. It gets to where we are and pushes past me to where zelda is right next to me. The Pitt had its tail straight up knocked into zelda. Zelda got back to and infront of me with her hair on ends and her tail between her legs. The Pitt then bit zelda on her side and I kicked it in its face to get it off of her and put myself between them. The Pitt continued to push past me and zelda continued to defend with me constantly kicking this bigger dog away. The owner finally got to us and grabbed the metal chain that the Pitt had on its collar and yanked the dog back. I picked up zelda who was shaking and carried her home and cleaned her up. I love my dog and I would never have guessed that my pocket beagle would defend me against a dog three times her size and I hope I dont have to see that again.
