Do you feel the Lord speaking to you and urging you to do - TopicsExpress

Do you feel the Lord speaking to you and urging you to do something? Has He placed a burden on your heart? When He does, do you start feeling you arent worthy, qualified, or ready to take that first step? I have been experiencing this very thing and you may be too. I want to tell you that all of those nay-saying thoughts and feelings of inadequacy are Satan trying to get at you so that you dont do what the Lord wants you to do. When those feelings and words start, STOP right then and tell the devil Satan I rebuke you! Get out of my head, out of my home, and away from my family! In Jesus name Amen! James 4:7 NLT So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. I am sharing this devotion from today as I know it will help give you the courage and strength to do what God wants you to do. To God be the glory forever! Devotion for today: Have confidence. Moses didn’t believe in himself. He didn’t have confidence in his abilities. He even begged and argued with God to use someone else. But eventually he gave in, allowed God to use him, and because of that he was used to save millions of people from slavery. But it took overcoming insecurity to be used in that great way. How about you? Do you need to be a more confident person? Maybe you believe the lies: You’re not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, popular enough. God has made you … well … you. And He wants to use you for great things. You just need to have the confidence. Here are five attributes of a confident person. They believe in themselves. They talk with authority. They look people in the eyes. They don’t worry about what others think of them. They stand up for what’s right no matter what. Confident people often live out great stories. So, where do you need more confidence in your life? Pray to God that He will give you confidence in that area. And know this; when you live with confidence that God can use you for great things, that’s when you will start to see your story get better. Exodus 4:10-13 NLT But Moses pleaded with the lord , “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.” Then the lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the lord ? Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.” But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.” Exodus 4:21 NLT And the lord told Moses, “When you arrive back in Egypt, go to Pharaoh and perform all the miracles I have empowered you to do. But I will harden his heart so he will refuse to let the people go.
