Do you know what i am proud to be a member of the 55 club. The reason why is even before all of this voting stuff I had been working in the community to assist people in poverty. I dont usually shout from the roof tops because I am not that sort of person but enough is enough. How many of the 45 can say: A. Since 1998 they have been a volunteer at a Citizens Advice Bureau. Not only on it but a member of the inaugural committee that established it for the area. B. Volunteer for the Royal Naval Benevolent Trust and now more recently SSAFA. C. Sat on School PTAs throughout kids school years. D. Assisted in the development of kids cricket in Argyll & Bute. E. Raised money for MacMillan. I have now doubt there are people from both camps who have done a lot more and will continue to do so. If you want to make a difference to Scotland your community is always looking for volunteers. Get out there (both Yes/no voters) and make a bloody difference instead of moaning about politicians not doing anything. My conscience is totally clear and if anyone wants tel numbers for local volunteer groups - CABx - charities etc pm me and I will signpost you to the right person in your area. If you are making a difference - bloody great I applaud you - both sides. If not please make a difference as organisations are crying out for volunteers.
