F for Fork (the salad fork goes outside the regular fork, remember, the first thing you’ll use goes on the outside of the place setting) O is for the round plate (okay, we get it.) R stands for Right of the plate which includes: K for the Knife and S for the Spoon The napkin is placed to the left of the forks (or fancy linen napkins can be placed on top of the plates).* *A few years ago we posted an article on table setting etiquette (Including this FORKS tip).
