Do you swaddle? When I cared for babies in the hospital as a nurse I only ever swaddled them on the upper part of their body. I only used knit fabrics as they have more stretch than woven or muslin. I would leave the wrap loose and open at their legs so the baby could move their hips. Plus if they needed to cool themselves down theyd kick their legs and airflow would be able to happen whilst their upper body felt pressure from the swaddle to settle and comfort like in the womb.
