Do you think a lot of young people in Fiji will leave the country and not come back should Aus and NZ offer visa on arrival.?? I dont think so. Because you only get 3months to a month visa or multiple visa so its not permanent anyway. As it is no one is in a rush to go rich rich places like Hong Kong or Malaysia or even Singapore.. They can get jobs there too and get visa on arrival. So if people wanted to overstay then they will do so even if they go through the current process anyway. As it is the vast majority of those who travel from Fiji to these two countries for holiday or other purpose return home on time. The smallest percentage actually overstay. Many young people actually enjoy living in Fiji. Unless there is war, a famine or dire economic situation then we will see an overwhelming number of people that are desperate to leave Fiji and find greener pastures. In any case the number of Overstayers will be reduced if this is implemented as it just makes it easier to travel.
