Do you train with points in mind? I usually train primarily for self defense as dictated by the Helio Gracie filter but sometime I pay attention to the time and points in my training to stay sharp for the times im doing jiu jitsu but not getting attacked by an assailant. Heres me and Michael Anthony Perez (inventor of the technique sweeping the nation sling guard) hes up two points and Im leading in advantages so I had the end the match on top to win. IF you compete but dont think about points and time during training you are beating yourself when the tournament comes.
