Do you want to participate in a photo exhibition? Please contact us if you wish to participate. Here are the details: I am a photographer and Professor at the University of Rhode Island. As an immigrant from India, I am interested in depicting the changing face of American immigration and some of our immigrants’ relatively unknown histories and stories of coming here. We are in the midst of a demographic revolution where, by 2050, “minority” populations in the U.S. will become the majority. I am creating artwork, which will help to reframe our understanding of our newest immigrants. I am interested in photographing families that have immigrated to America from a diverse number of countries over the last 50 years. To take part in this project, each family should have: - Old black and white photographs of themselves or their parents. - The family should have three generations of women (matriarchal) available to be photographed at the same time. I will take professional photographs of the families for them. This can include any of the family members.
