Doc visit went fine. Dr S did not think another scan is indicated right now, with his feeling better and lack of fever. He said that since its not routine to do abdominal scans after appendectomies, we really dont know if the liquid could be something normal or not but his fever indicated something that was not right. He said if they did another one, its entirely possible it could be the same and how would that affect the situation? If its better, he still could have complications when he finishes the antibiotics. He said, I cant really say this but if I were you, based on how you feel and that you no longer have fever, Id probably take my chances and go on. But if you get into trouble while you are there, come home. Obviously he knew that given Bills stubbornness he probably was going to anyway. When I showed up with Bill, I told the nurse, who we found out lives in Grassy Pond, I decided to come today, too. She said, thats probably a good idea! She said that there are refills on the antibiotics and we probably should get those filled and take them with us. So the plan is for us to go on Saturday. We dont feel like trying to reschedule earlier than Saturday is a good idea. This gives us a few more days this week to ensure that he truly is improving before we leave😍
