Doctor called me personally to explain Mikeys breathing. They believe Mikey has developed a lung disease called ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome). It is an actual lung disease that will develop instantly after the lungs have been in distress from the lack of oxygen in his blood flow due to his heart attack a/o pneumonia. There is no cure, only treatment. It is considered where he has what they call wet lungs where his lungs are constantly secreting fluid and leaving no room for the oxygen to flow. There is a mortality rate which has gotten better over the years. But the doctor says he is not optimistic that Mikey is going to pull through and by Gods grace if he does, he will have permanent lung damage and carry this disease along with heart disease for the rest of his life. Please everyone, pray for my son even harder now than ever. I really need him to open his eyes, smile and come back home. Love you all for being there for Mikey.
