Does any one get to the stage of feeling burnt out and feel like they are doing to much? Probably happens to us all at some point and if its thru exercise we probably think we are overtraining, and we back off for a week and start again and everything is great for a while again. Ive been looking into overtraining and there has been a lot of blogs and facebook posts on it lately and the majority of top level coaches and trainers believe we dont overtrain but we under recover. So if you are exercising and looking to increase fitness, health, strength etc and looking to lose body fat and build lean muscle then you must start with the basis that your body adapts and progresses when you are away from the gym, this is just as if not more important than what you do and how hard you do it in the gym. A basic check list of I musts should be I must drink enough water thru out the day every day I must eat enough quality calories to support my lifestyle I must ensure I get vitamins and minerals thru my nutrition I must rest, recover and de stress when possible I must have quality sleep for as close to 8 hours per day I must be positive as negativity is energy sapping! When you can tick all these on a daily basis then you will be on your way to becoming a fitness god / goddess Enough from me Ive got a kettlebell and combat class to teach!
