Does anybody else still do canning, freezing or dehydrating? I guess when I take into account what my time is worth, its cheaper to buy pickles. But what a joy it is to enjoy the fruits of your labor and eat something from your garden in the middle of the winter! Ive frozen 4 qts of green beans, a gallon of sliced green peppers, 10 pts (bread & butter) & 5 qts refrigerator Dill pickles. Canned 24 pts (6 bread n butter) 18 pts dills. I made 5 different recipes & 1 variation-put crushed red pepper in 1/2 jars of 1 variety. Labeled jars & recipes to review what is worth repeating. I have 1/2 pt jars that I would like to trade/barter for pt jars! Thank you & sweet dreams to all of you!
