Does anybody here know anything about Charles Chowins? He was an original faculty member at UNL. He is recorded as living in lincoln as early as 1885. He was close friends, neighbors and workmate of Charles Carpenter (Carpenters Hall) in the Near-South neighborhood. They both built several houses in the area. ...obviously, I know a bit about this guy, but I want to know more. If there are any history sleuths out there with a tip, Id appreciate hearing from you.
