Does anyone remember Rogers Station, an operation and small company community on Jeems Bayou between Oil City and Vivian, off Hwy 1 on aptly-named Rogers Station Road. What was the company that owned it, what exactly was the operation, and who were the families that lived there? Anyone know? Answering my own question partially, it was owned by Arkansas Natural Gas Company, later called Arkla, and was a compressor station built in the early 1900s to boost the pressure of gas being piped to Little Rock, AR.
