Does anyone remember Zork? Or Infidel? There was a similar pc version of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, but I could never get the spare improbability drive to work because I wasnt English enough to understand the neccessity of tea and had forgotten it from the book. Anyway, these games evolved into word / graphic games and then again into interactive video games. My favorite was Phantasmagoria, and you can watch it played on youtube now by people who know the game step by step. I spent countless hours wandering through rooms, collecting objects, and getting killed a lot. Theres much more to be found thats not played out here, my favorite was the fortune teller machine, never explored by this player. Every room had pictures and objects that werent neccessary to get through the game events, but added to the plot. Then again, as this player proves, it takes four hours just to get through the vital game steps. youtube/watch?v=oAXC-MwfpHA
