Does your kitty get black or dark discharge dried in the corner of his eyes? This is usually a sign of a chronic herpes virus infection. Unfortunately, a very high percentage of cats are affected.. although this aspect is not harmful, just keep it clean. However, if the eyes get red or the discharge turns green or yellow, he may need medical attention. These chronic infections just hide in their system, occasionally causing problems with the eyes, sneezing or nasal discharge, or chronic gingivitis and tooth loss.
