Dog Bite! Deltona toddler rushed to hospital after dog bite We recommend not leaving children alone with dogs, even when the dog is percieved to be a very safe. Heres an example of why this makes sense. A 20 month old child had to be rushed to the hopsital after being bitten in the face by a dog. The dog was brought to the home by its owner, who is or was a family friend, during a visit. The dogs owner is upset about the dog bite, but still thinks the dog is a friendly hand licker. We have to ask, WHY? WHY? Why leave a completely defenseless child alone in a room with any dog ever? YOU CANNOT TRUST THAT NOTHING WILL HAPPEN! The dog owner says Im more upset about the baby than with my dog...but I know my dog is friendly. If I brought him hed be here licking you - all we can think is this is not a person who should own a dog. Thats the complete wrong attitude to have. You can bring your dog anywhere and in front of you maybe it is a happy little face licker, but when you turn your back and you dog attacks, its time to face the facts. You cannot trust a dog in a room by itself with babies and little children. You need to be a responsible dog owner and keep your dog under your control at all times.
