Doing business with China raises many questions from global partners. Particularly in the area of credit risk, there are concerns about: bank stability, dependability of corporate bonds, whether domestic credit ratings are effective, and how to read the financials of Chinese financial institutions. This presentation will identify seven myths in analyzing corporate credit risk in China and discuss how they differ from truths which can be culled from economic data, market data and surveys of literature, to help assess the credit risk of larger banks and enterprises in China, which impacts global banks, fund houses and multinational corporations around the world.
