Dominic George, that short guy who frequents St Pauls and whose head has more than it should, posed the gratitude challenge to me. Well, all afternoon and evening, I have been reviewing my life and counting my blessings. Here goes parties I am greatly indebted to. 1. My most sincere and heartfelt gratitude goes to God. He has both the yam and the knife. If he says that I will not eat, I will surely not. He breathes life, vigour, zeal, hope and encouragement into me daily. He will always illuminate my paths and open doors where none existed. All I have to do is kneel before him so that I can stand before anyone. He forgives my iniquities and turns a blind eye on my failings. God, what do I do to thank you. 2. My family and in particular: my dad, mum, bro, sisters, grandparents, cuzo Ciira and all other relatives. You people are my pillars. I go out into the world, fight, get beaten--at times-- and all I have is you to run to for consolation. 3. My writing mentors: Biko, Magunga and Joe for availing your works online and freely. Others are Samuel Kanja, Bena Mems who have been worthy literary critics.. 4. My Uthiru family made up of Zoro, Wani, Zaro and Kizah: you guys are just wonderful. I miss you. 5. My classmates and close friends Serengeti and Muraya; how wonderful it feels to know you. 6. Greg Blessings, Kinoti Mwebia Lawkin-- guys who inspire me by their simplicity and consistency. Am not through, but I have to pause for a bit. Three hundred more people to go.Let me take a gulp of water...
