Dominica Program Accreditation in Dominica is voluntary. For this reason, St. Linus University is not affiliated to the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Dominica in any way. Private higher education institutions operating offshore or via the internet are not required by law to apply for government or non-government accreditation in Dominica before they can award academic degrees or their equivalents. A similar situation exists in Austria, Denmark, France, Malta, Russia, Turks and Caicos Islands and Vanuatu (among others) where there are no accreditation system for external approval of the programs prior to implementing like e.g. in the UK. The accreditation of St. Linus University comes from the World Council for Regular and Distance Education (WCRDE). Our Dominica Program is designed for international students with Bachelor, Masteral, and Doctoral course offerings. We observe a year-round academic calendar which allows students to enroll at a different start dates and graduate at different end dates. We are also in the process of quality management system (ISO 9001:2008) certification through QSCert, Czech Republic. QSCert is accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute (CAI). The CAI is the national accreditation body of the Czech Republic. The CAI is a signatory of the Multilateral Agreements (MLA) of the European co-operation for Accrediation (EA), the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF). Once an accreditation body is a signatory, it is required to recognize the certificates issued by conformity assessment bodies accredited by all other signatories with the appropriate scope: EA (European level), ILAC and IAF (world level). ACCREDITATION AND RECOGNITION St. Linus University is recognized by several United Kingdom based professional qualification awarding bodies listed in the British Qualifications: the British Council’s reference book, published by Kogan Page Ltd. Namely, The Institute of Management Specialists (IMS), The Institute of Manufacturing (IManf), The Faculty of Professional Business and Technical Management (FPBTM), and The Academy of Executives and Administrators (AEA). These professional awarding bodies are listed in the Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) Higher National Professional Recognition & Progression Directory (EDEXCEL) and are on the UK Register for Learning Providers (UKRLP).
