Done!!! This is my first foray into proper tailoring using Burda 7045 View A - a classic tailored shirt - this pattern was used by contestants on the Great British Sewing Bee and my sewing buddy Lisa and I wanted to give it a go! By far the hardest thing Ive EVER sewn (including the nightmare bridesmaids dress!!). I followed an excellent Craftsy Class and had help from my sewing teacher Sue, as the Burda instructions were far from adequate! Sadly I had a problem with a so called washable fabric pen which turned out not to be so washable and has left discoloured marks on my pride and joy! Argh! As close as Ive come to crying over sewing haha lol!! Hopefully I can get the discoloured marks out or dye the fabric because Id love my husband to be able to wear it to work! Regardless of the damage, Im so pleased that I managed to finish this project and Im happy with my stitching. Will it be my last shirt? No I think not? :0)
