Donna Tartts The Goldfinch is not as good as everyone says it is. - TopicsExpress

Donna Tartts The Goldfinch is not as good as everyone says it is. Just because a book is in the first-person and has a lot of characters doesnt make it Dickensian. On the other hand, I am reading it because 1) the author wrote it in the New York Public Library, which I love, 2) her major plot point involves the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which I love, and 3) she has a peculiar felicity of expression, which I am beginning to appreciate. Pounce. Check this out on AMZN: The Goldfinch amzn/0316055433
