Dont Bring Religion Into National Conference Confab Delegates Pastor Bakare Tells Chairman of National Conference Source: CKN Nigeria The National Conference kick started this morning at the main hall of the National Judicial Institute Abuja on a controversial note when a member of the Conference and former Vice Presidential candidate of the CPC Pastor Tunde Bakare asked the Chairman of the Conference Justice Kutugi to restrain himself from always chanting Islamic prayers before making his opening remarks. Pastor Bakare raised the objection when the Chairman repeatedly used the terms bissimalahi rahum rahim while addressing them.In his objection ,Tunde Bakare said this may open up a religious floodgate which may lead other religious men like him to start chanting Praise the Lord,somebody thereby turning the whole conference into a religious conference. Afterward it was resolved that the second stanza of the National Anthem will be used as prayers at the National Conference in place of Christian or Islamic prayers -------------------------------- A Country polarized as Nigeria cant work. Religiously, when two cant properly work, the next natural thing to do is dissolve the union. Whats your Opinion??
