My new friends, Phuoc & Thinh Tran, drove two hours from the Minneapolis area in bad weather, to meet me. They, like our mutual friends, Thai & Diamond Dang, are Vietnamese Boat People. They brought me an assortment of Vietnamese snacks for the road. Plus Phuoc made me several little hearts of various colored paper, she called, LOVE LIFE hearts. In my motel room, they looked out the window, saw it pouring rain and nearly in unison, said, We get you room one more night. and out the door they went headed for the front desk, and, paid for one more night! They took me out for a great brunch and to do my laundry. These two know how to LOVE LIFE! What a joy to be with two people so very joyful about being alive AND for being citizens of this country. They have seen very hard times in their lives and so they embrace me and my LOVE LIFE NO MATTER WHAT philosophy, with wide open hearts, and wide open arms of course, a whole lot of huggin went on :). They are a reminder for me to never ever take my gift of Life for granted! YES, we are breathing this morning!!!! Now, lets only see the good today and go LOVE! LOVE LIFE.
