Dont Stop on The Way In the book of Genesis, there is a msn who was known as Terah. He was Abrahams father and was from Uz in the Chaldeah. It is written that he set out to go to Caanan with his family. But when He reached midway, He settled in Haran. I dont know why but I assume Haran looked promising. He forgot his vision and journey. Terah died in Haran. God therefore told Abraham to live His Country, his people and his family to go to a land he had been shown. Many people who set out to get to heaven have forgotten about suffering, difficulty and the cross. They therefore settle in Haran, the land of comfort. Thy no longer think of the home above. Today in most of our churches, we are thinking so much on how to live a good life here. We want to preach comfort and entertain...so that the youths are kept in Church. Most of the Churches that are full to the brim are not speaking about sin or heaven. The pastors are intetested in numbers. We want to keep the youths in the Church so we forget to preach reality. So the Church is nowadays comfort zones. They are speaking on how we can prosper down here. We want to make a little heaven down here. Itching ears are quite many. Jesus said that who ever wants to follow him must deny himself, take up his cross and follow him. He also said, In this this world you will face many troubles. But we are interested in happy talk and feel good statements. Ho My challenge friends is that we are getting too comfortable in this world.... we are developing strategies to cope up here. We do not seem interested in our house above. If we talk about it, it is just in passing. I attend sessions on how to invest much.....10 ways to become rich... It is always all about me, me, and me. But my Bible tells me that this world is not my home. I am not permanent. God is saying today, to overcome Terahs Syndrome, 1. Leave Your Country - At times it may mean physical location to get a breakthrough 2. Leave Your People - Friends and acquaintances. Some of them you must do away with. 3. Leave Your Fathers household - Cultural practices..so many of us are still pegged into our tribes, custom and backgrounds. Today I implore you to overcome Terahs Syndrome.
