Everyday with morning coffee I come to get my daily giggle by reading the post on the COW/ aka Citizens of Westlake I love getting the informative stuff. I enjoy reading things that are happening in our community. I love a healthy debate from the people on COW concerning the upcoming election. On a daily basis I read what the candidates are saying about changes they would like to bring to WL. This site is a great place to meet your neighbors and even agree to disagree. BUT....(Theres always a but) all the silly things that even go as far back as the new businesses coming to WL, Boom-Boom pizza, Donut Shop, arguing about silly things like ownership, dedication to old businesses, whether or not the new McDonalds is as good as old McDonalds. I find all of that to be trash talking. Now on a daily basis, we have the debate over candidate signs. I dont have signs in my yard because it actually is a invite for someone to come in your yard and destroy property. The arguments over signs at corners and people cant see to drive through safely. Im sorry to say but, all your venting is just plain ridiculous. I dont think there is one candidate that would cause a stink if their sign was moved back to make it more safe. I will say this. If I am at a corner and cant see because of a sign, I will get out and move it. Case closed. I will risk being approached by a police officer or the candidate. But, I will not get on FB and be complaining daily about signs. Just move them. Case closed. I dont ever say anything on COW that is not uplifting, informative to our community. I love my neighbors. I respect all candidates for running in a small closely knit community because, everyone knows your business, your past will be dug up and then spoke about on COW. You are going to find things out about you that YOU yourself didnt even know. Lol Its a race to the end. Dont choose your candidate because you know him, or because she has been in WL longer, or because you graduated with them a million years ago. My favorite is I go hunting with him! Or how you have been neighbors with her grandparents for 55 years. Choose your candidate because they are qualified, pick them because their hearts are to better the community and will serve ALL the people not just the ones they know. Dont make this personal. Press the button near the candidates name that will make good choices for us and will speak for the people. Hear us when we speak. This is a public broadcast and I approve this message. Blessings~~
