Dont allow wrong, negative thoughts to dictate your life, and your heart. The Word of God has much to say about this. What we allow our minds to think on, will determine what we believe in our heart. Over and over again through many passages of scriptures Gods Word encourages and teaches us to be renewed in the spirit of our minds. The spirit of our mind is the attitudes or thoughts, we think upon. I have encountered lots of people lately who Ive been ministering to who dont understand this. Paul said this, Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate, (think) on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard of me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.~~~Philippians 4:8-9 Contrary to popular belief, we can choose what we think about. It is my responsibility to renew my own mind, by taking my wrong thoughts captive and replacing them with thoughts of Gods Word and His promises to me. This is the way we can see a transformed life. When Jesus was speaking to His disciples before He went to the cross He told them to let not their hearts be troubled. What we think upon has an impact on what we believe in our hearts, and what we believe in our hearts will dictate our lives. Wrong thoughts of worry, anger, bitterness, rejection, strife, unforgiveness, failures, condemning ourselves, etc. all these thoughts will cause sickness, physically, and emotionally. The battle is in the mind, but the Good News is Jesus has overcome and won the battle. If you have Jesus you have the mind of Christ, and the ability to overcome. Greater is He in You! Go to Gods Word and meditate on these scriptures, choose to think on Him and His Word, its your choice. Isaiah 26:3, Matthew 6:25-34, Matthew11:28-30, Psalm 91, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 2:16 Dont keep doing the same old things in your life and expect to see change, thats insanity.
